Verifiable testamurs and statements of attainment with QR codes
Why every credential Academywise issues carries a QR code to a public verification page, and how eligibility, signatories, duplicates and revocation work.
Every provider gets the call eventually: an employer holding a certificate, asking whether it’s genuine. Answering means finding the student, checking the record and calling back. And forged certificates still circulate in the meantime.
Academywise approaches credentials differently. Every document it issues can be checked by anyone, in seconds, without contacting you.
Issuing is always deliberate
Credentials are never issued automatically. Only staff with document-issuing permission can issue them, and every issue needs a default signatory on file.
Before a document is issued, Academywise runs eligibility checks:
- Testamur, record of results and completion letter: all units achieved.
- Statement of attainment: some units achieved, for partial completions or withdrawals.
Every document carries a QR code
Each issued document gets a unique, unguessable verification token, printed as a QR code. Scanning it opens a public verification page that shows whether the document is valid or revoked. If a document was issued in error, revoking it updates the verification page immediately.
Duplicates are labelled, not hidden
A testamur or statement of attainment has one original. Further copies are marked DUPLICATE COPY n with a reason recorded, such as lost, damaged, name change or student request. Records of results and completion letters can be reissued at any time, dated on the day they’re issued.
Every issued PDF is stored and can be downloaded again from the student’s course progress or the issued register.
Your templates, your branding
Templates for testamurs, statements of attainment, records of results, completion letters and offer letters can be designed in HTML and CSS (header, body and footer), or pasted from existing templates. Merge tags such as [Trainee Full Name] or {{student_name}} are filled from the student record.
Providers supply their own approved artwork for the Nationally Recognised Training logo and AQF marks, under the applicable conditions of use.
The registers
The issued register is split into qualifications (testamurs, SOAs, records of results), the offer register (with sent, viewed, signed and expired status) and completion letters, so audits can be answered from one place.
