Privacy policy

This policy explains how Code Venture Pty Ltd ("Academywise", "we", "us") handles personal information collected through this website. It's intended to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This policy covers the marketing website only. Personal information held in the Academywise student management system on behalf of training providers is governed by the agreement with each provider and that provider's own privacy policy.

Information we collect

When you request a demo or contact us, we collect the information you enter:

• your name, work email address, phone number (optional), job title (optional) and organisation;
• details about your organisation that you choose to share, such as organisation type, student numbers, campuses, current system, areas of interest and timeframe;
• the content of your message; and
• how you found us: campaign parameters in the link you followed (such as utm_source), the page you landed on, the page you submitted from, and the referring website's address (domain only).

Our servers also process technical information such as your IP address to deliver the site and to prevent abuse of our forms (for example, rate limiting). We don't use it to identify you.

Why we collect it

• to respond to your enquiry and arrange a demo;
• to understand which of our pages and campaigns are useful; and
• to protect the website and our forms from spam and misuse.

We won't add you to marketing lists without your consent, and we don't sell personal information.

Who we share it with

We use service providers to run this website and handle enquiries. Depending on our configuration, these may include our hosting provider, an email delivery service (such as SMTP2Go), a customer relationship management (CRM) system, an anti-spam verification service (such as Cloudflare Turnstile) and, only with your consent, an analytics provider. These providers process information on our behalf.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Form submissions are sent over encrypted connections and validated on our server before they're delivered to our team.

We keep enquiry information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law. [To be completed: retention period.]

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. Use our contact form.

If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first and we'll respond within a reasonable time. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
