With Academywise

One dataset, every report

Academywise gathers a single reporting dataset from your student, course, progress and campus records. The same dataset produces national NAT files, state exports and an audit CSV. It is also designed to feed the national STARS transport as VET Data Streamlining rolls out.

  • AVETMISS NAT files

    Generate NAT00010, 00020, 00030, 00060, 00080, 00085, 00090, 00100, 00120 and 00130 as a ZIP ready for the AVETMISS Validation Software. Every run is logged.

  • Readiness dashboard

    See missing national codes, fields of education, hours, USIs and outcome dates, and fix them inline before exporting.

  • State AVETMISS exports

    Filter by state, venue, cadence and claimable status, exclude withdrawn or credit-transfer activity, and export NAT files or an audit sheet.

  • Funding source rules

    National and state funding codes resolve from the delivery campus's state and student type, with per-unit and per-activity overrides.

  • USI validation

    Format and check-digit validation, INTOFF/INDIV exemptions and a status for every student.

  • In development

    USI Registry verification

    Verify USIs against the national registry (OSIR B2B). Built and tested in mock mode, and awaiting government access.

  • 24 on-demand reports

    USI & compliance, enrolment, deferral, orientation, work placement, AQTF and ASQA reports with filters and CSV or Excel export.

  • Scheduled email reports

    Seven reports emailed as CSV on a daily or Monday cadence, covering expiry digests, absences, PRISMS deadlines, ESOS risk, overdue fees and missing USIs, to the recipients you choose.

  • In development

    VET Data Streamlining (STARS)

    A mapper from the reporting dataset to the VET Information Standard, with local pre-validation and a submission log. In development ahead of the national transition.

Does Academywise submit directly to NCVER?

Today Academywise produces NAT files for upload to the AVETMISS Validation Software. Direct submission through the new STARS APIs is in development and will reuse the same reporting dataset.

Which AVETMISS version is supported?

NAT files are produced in the current fixed-width format, including the AVETMISS 8.1 NAT00120 layout with state funding at the published positions.

Can we verify USIs with the registry?

Format and check-digit validation works today. Registry verification is built and tested in mock mode and will be enabled once government B2B access is approved.
